Sandbridge Beach dries out from remnants of Hurricane Matthew.

As Mother Nature usually does, it surprised us on the night of October 8th when we were forecasted to have winds up to 50mph and 4-5 inches of rain. Instead we had gusts close to 100mph and over 10 inches of rain. This was supposed to be a small piece of Hurricane Matthew that became much more than expected. Sandbridge lost power for 3 days which was relatively short considering the number of trees that came down. The community did a great job pulling together to get things back on track and with the Fall Clean Up on November 6th we should be looking good for the winter months ahead. One more community event coming up is the annual trick or treat gathering at Sandbridge Shores on October 31st – a favorite for the local children.

Since the September newsletter we have had several new listings come on the market with several more coming on soon and for the past 30 day period we have 1 sold and 4 homes “under contract” and 2 condos currently “under contract” as well. Regarding the homes with contracts, I included those that are pending the home inspection which is why they are still showing “Active”.

It’s hard to believe the year is almost over. With the Holidays right around the corner I want to wish you all safe travels and great times with family and friends! The SBH Team and I feel very fortunate to be able to service the real estate needs of our clients in this great community of Sandbride Beach. It’s a Good Life!

Aloha,
Pat
