This week we definitely felt the turn toward the end of summer!

Although the heat was on (5 days of 100+ degrees) the road is a little less busy, shorter lines at the market and no waiting to get into the restaurants; all signs that fall is on the way – which is one of my favorite times of year.

That being said, the 37st Annual Pig Pickin’ is September 10th. We will be there this year with Prosper Insurance group answering questions regarding the brand new private market flood insurance program. Representatives from Prosper will be there to discuss the program and its benefits. If you are currently required to carry FEMA backed flood insurance you should stop by our table. This program could save you money and increase your coverage benefits. For instance, this program will cover loss of rents which current policies do not provide. We are very excited about this new opportunity for homeowners. Other events coming up in Sandbridge include the Back Bay Hei Hei on September 17th and the Baja Surf Classic on September 25th. Check www.sandbridgelife.com/events for updated information on these and other events happening in the area.

The real estate market in Sandbridge is moving along. I did not post July closings in my last newsletter so I have combined the two months so keep that in mind when looking at current homes and condos either “under contract” or “sold”. There are 4 pending and 10 sold single family homes with 6 sold condos. As mentioned in previous edition, we are trending very close to last year’s volume in both categories.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Pig Pickin’, tickets are available at the SBH Real Estate office, you can also call us and we will reserve them for you for pick up the day of event. Remember, they are not sold at the door.

Aloha,

Pat
