Nimmo 7B (Sandbridge Rd to Nimmo Parkway) August 2023 Update

See the paragraph below from our good friend and neighbor Dick Lohrman that recently went to Barbara Henley’s town hall meeting that she holds monthly. Certainly not great news for those who support the extension of Nimmo Parkway:

“Nimmo 7B (Sandbridge Rd to Nimmo Parkway) – The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) recently completed a roughly one-year review of public comments on the city’s Environmental Assessment (EA) of the project. You will recall that a number of environmental groups had considerable concerns that the EA was inadequate. After review, the Highway Administration agreed that the EA was insufficient and told the city to complete a full Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). Mrs Henley stated that this will result in an additional $5M cost to the project and a 3-year delay.”
