2026 Sandbridge Beach Civic League Scholarships

Who wouldn’t want extra money for college? The Sandbridge Beach Civic League wants to honor our graduating Sandbridge seniors with some extra help as they head to the exciting next phase of their lives. The SBCL is awarding two scholarships this year: $1,000 and $500. In addition to these, applicants will be eligible for a $500 scholarship sponsored by The Sandbridge Beach Business Association.

Selection will be based on educational achievement, community service, extra-curricular activities, leadership and essay. The student’s involvement in our Sandbridge community is weighted heavily.

Eligibility:

  • Graduating senior from an accredited high school or home school program
  • Applicant’s family must be current members of the Sandbridge Beach Civic League (SBCL) and applicant must be a full-time resident of Sandbridge. (Sandbridge boundaries are North – Dam Neck Base, East – Atlantic Ocean,South – Back Bay Wildlife Refuge and West – Bay, North Bay and Canals and to a point 2000 ft from Sandpiper Road on Sandbridge Road)
  • Applicant must enter university, college, trade or technical school as a full-time student within the following year.

Requirements / Conditions:
1. Application packet must be completed in full and submitted to Mike
Maloney at 304 Teal Crescent no later than 6:00 p.m. on Monday May 18, 2026. The application packet includes the application, official high school transcript, written essay and 2 letters of reference (1 from Sandbridge neighbor or friend and 1 from a teacher, counselor or advisor) and academic resume.
2. NO incomplete or late application packets will be accepted
3. Applicants should be fully aware that the award is paid directly to the recipient’s university, college, trade or technical school. Winners will be asked to provide the Business Office address and Student ID.

In the event there are no qualified applicants, no scholarships will be awarded. Anyone interested can visit the website.
