The spring season is about renewal, and Mother Nature is putting a fresh new look on things after a long winter. Well, in Sandbridge Beach we have several new ventures springing up. First is the Baja Coffee Company, owners Bill and Ann Gassett will be serving up fresh coffee and homemade muffins along with a menu of other tasty items. They plan to open mid to late May and will be located behind the Baja in the Bayview lounge.
Second is Simply Steamed. Former owner of ZEST, Martha Gaione has put together an enticing menu of seafood, sandwiches, and steam pots to take home and enjoy. She is located on the second floor of the Sandbridge Shoppes and is wide-open for business. Check both of these new ventures out on the Facebook links we provided and be sure and stop by when you can, I know you will not be disappointed. We are very excited to have these two local businesses’ enhance our Sandbridge lifestyle!
The real estate market is moving at a good pace for this time of year. Last week we had three properties go under contract, they are marked in the report as properties that are contingent on home inspection. Several homes are still “pending” from the last newsletter so I marked “new” for the ones that were not listed on previous edition. Five homes “sold” and eight new properties are “under contract” for the period. There are currently 45 homes for sale, which is one of the lowest inventory levels in many years. There were three condos that sold for the period with available inventory at 35 units. There is plenty of discussion of interest rates rising soon, which may be behind the increase in sales the past few months.
If you are in town next weekend, we will be doing the annual spring clean up on Sunday, April 26th. Immediately following will be the second annual watersports swap meet. See www.sandbridgelife.com for details on these two events. We have updated our calendar for 2015 so be sure and check it out for all the events coming up in Sandbridge.
Aloha,
Pat
