We have all heard the saying that first impressions are everything and that is also true in real estate.  This video from Today’s Real Estate News gives some helpful advice to those home sellers who are wanting to improve the curb appeal of their property.

It does not have to cost a lot of money to give your home a boost in curb appeal.  That all important first impression does not have to cost you a small fortune.  A fresh coat of paint can do wonders.  It is suggested that home sellers walk the exterior of their home with a “buyer’s eye” looking for flaws a buyer might use to negotiate a lower price.  Water damage around a window or door frame might suggest a future repair even if the issue has already been addressed.  Clean and paint the water damaged wood to eliminate the appearance of a problem.  Clean and paint walls that don’t look their best and do it yourself to save money.  Those are great ways to enhance your home’s appearance to a buyer.
