Memorial Day weekend in Sandbridge Beach was spectacular! Perfect beach weather blessed everyone that came down, with comfortable ocean temperatures, fun waves coming in for everyone to play on, and just a few showers at the end of the day to cool things off. For those that have not heard, the new renovations at the Baja Restaurant turned out great. The owner, Jim Reeve, has created a great space over looking Back Bay that locals and visitors alike have been enjoying.
We had a total of six homes sold and one pending for the month of May. There were two condo sales with one pending during the same month. Of the group of homes sales; 2929 Wood Duck was a short sale and 3128 Sandpiper was a bank owned sale.
I continue to hear from both real estate companies that vacation rental bookings are strong and that most of summer weeks are booked up. This will certainly have a positive effect on our local economy. Next month I’ll be publishing the year- to- date sales for homes and condos and comparing them to last year. It’s hard to believe that we are already half way through the year. That’s it for now!
