According to the National Association of Realtors ®, existing home sales moderately increased in February and constrained inventory levels pushed price growth to its fastest pace in a year. Existing home sales are up 1.2 percent from January to February and up 4.7 percent from a year ago. The median price per home was $202,600, which was up 7.5 percent from February 2014. Even with its moderate increase, the below freezing temperatures affected certain parts of the market over others. For example the North East was down 6.5 percent compared to last year because of the weather. However, trends are starting to show more steady growth, as the months turn warmer.
