Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I was curious about the history of this day, so a simple Google search provided me with the information. Surprisingly, it’s celebrated more in the United States than Mexico and over the years has turned into a celebration of Mexican- American culture.

April was a busy month for home sales! This is historically the most active time of year for real estate transactions. There are currently 41 homes for sale which is consistent with the average for the past 12 months. Condo inventory is higher than average with 50 units currently for sale.

Single Family Homes – 9 Pending and 1 Sold
Condos – 1 Pending and 2 Sold
Sandbridge Market Metrics – January 2019 – April 2019 (year-to-date)

Sandbridge’s seasonal businesses are opening up with Bandido’s Taco StandThe Sugar Shack already open and The Baja Coffee Company opening up on Friday, May 10th. It’s great to see locals and visitors coming out to enjoy all that our community has to offer. Lots of fun events coming up to include the 5th Annual Youth Unplugged Event (May 11), The Pungo Wine Festival (May 18), The 8th Annual CHKD Cornhole Tournament (May 19), and the famous Pungo Strawberry Festival (May 24-27). See SandbridgeLife.com for details on all of these events and more.

I would like to end this newsletter with a special tribute to Jean Siebert, owner of Siebert Realty, who passed away on April 21st. As someone who has lived here for many years, I have witnessed her commitment to this community and her support for all things Sandbridge Beach. She will truly be missed and remembered as someone who helped make Sandbridge a better place to live and vacation!

Aloha!
