What a crazy month October has been! We dodged a bullet with Hurricane Joaquin, endured multiple rainy and windy weekends and are finishing the month with warmer than average temperatures just in time for Halloween. I chalk it up to life on the mid-Atlantic coast; never dull!
This month’s real estate activity consists of 6 “pending” single-family homes and 3 sold properties. The condo market had 2 units in the Sanctuary go “pending” or under contract as well. Activity is consistent with this time of year. There are 53 houses and 39 condos currently on the market. This represents below average inventory for houses but average inventory for condos. As the year winds down, I believe that we are currently in a neutral market which means it’s neither a buyer’s or seller’s market. I’ll compose the end of year statistics for the January newsletter which will recap the entire year of sales.
Don’t forget if you’re in town on December 5th to come by the Christmas by the Sea: Sandbridge Tour of Homes which is a wonderful way to kick off the Holidays. There will be a crafts show at the Community Center and the Sandbridge Beach Business Association sponsored house, “Mai Tai”, will feature six local artists as well. Proceeds from this event go to the local food bank and SPCA.
Happy Halloween!
Aloha,
Pat
