As we move further into home buying season, signs of a declining inventory are apparent locally in Sandbridge as well as on a national level.  Data from Realtor.com suggests that the buying season has occurred earlier than usual.  Nationally, the average days a listing stays on Realtor.com is currently less than 100 days, the fastest inventory time since October of 2012.

Realtors reported to Realtor.com that they experienced a heavier foot traffic than typical in January across the nation.  In Sandbridge, we’ve had almost a dozen listings go under contract in the first few months of 2013.  Two SBH listings went under contract in just the past week.  If the market continues on this path, sales numbers could be even stronger than they were in 2012 as long as inventory holds up , which was a very strong year for the real estate market in Sandbridge Beach.
