Enjoying the Summer!

It’s hard to believe we are already half way through the summer. The Sandbridge Beach Civic Leagues 4th of July Boat Parade was another great success! See link for some photos provided by Jane Stilley. Another great event was the Junior Lifeguard Camp put on by the Sandbridge Lifeguards held at Little Island Park. In other community news, we have another restaurant in the neighborhood; Jose Tequilas have opened at The Sanctuary at False Cape condos. Reviews so far have been good from folks I have talked with as well as from my own experience.

Real estate continues its path of low inventory but with the increase in interest rates demand has softened a bit. At the moment this just means additional market time before the property goes under contract. There are currently 8 homes and 2 condos for sale.

Activity for past 30 days is as follows:
Single Family Homes – 3 Sold and 2 Pending
Condos – 2 Sold
Market Metrics – January 1, 2022 – July 14, 2022

At the recent Sandbridge Beach Civic League meeting, a motion was unanimously passed to oppose the Kitty Hawk Wind Farm project to land its cables in Sandbridge. Also, see our landing page Sea the Projects, for the proposal by various groups that oppose the Nimmo Parkway extension. Their plan is to raise and widen the current road.

That’s it for now, enjoy the summer and hope to see you on the beach!

Aloha,
Pat
