SBH Newsletter – September 2011
September 21, 2011 sandbridgehouses

Sandbridge Beach is beginning to feel like fall. Temperatures in the 70’s for most of the week and the gradual decline in visitors although I have been surprised at the number of properties still rented. It may be that we are picking up some additional visitors that normally go to Hatteras Island which really took the brunt of Hurricane Irene.

We, on the other hand, somehow were spared for the most part. The tornado that touched down in the 3200 block really damaged about five houses. Fortunately no one was hurt.

On the real estate side, we currently have three homes “pending” sale and one sold for the month of September. The condominium sector currently has one sold and one “pending” sale for the same period. See link for details. I can also report a very steady stream of buyers have been viewing properties in the past two weeks.

There are lots of community activities coming up in the next several weeks. The Double Clutch Bass Fishing Tournament on the 24th, the Baja Surf Classic on the 25th, the Livestrong Sandbridge Dolphin Challenge on October 1st and the Back Bay Hei Hei (a stand-up paddle board race) on October 8th. All of these events are kid friendly and fun for the whole family. If you have any questions on any of these upcoming events please call or email me.

Aloha,
Pat
