As temperatures cool down, real estate remains hot!

Fall is one of the best times of the year for me in Sandbridge and the cool evenings and warm days are a wonderful combination. We had a great turnout for the 41st Annual Pig Pickin! Attendance was approximately 1,400 people with almost $70,000 raised for the Sandbridge Beach Rescue Squad! For those of you who are Sandbridge Civic League members, the SBCL Oktoberfest is today at 4 pm at the Baja Restaurant. If you’re not a member, you can sign up at the event!

As we come to the end of the summer, the real estate remains “hot”. There are 6 homes for sale and 13 condos for sale, with 3 new listings this week. We should see some additional listings coming on the market over the next few weeks. On a national level, properties coming on the market are increasing along with more days on the market before the home goes “under contract”. Time will tell if Sandbridge follows this trend.

Activity for past 30 days is as follows:
Single Family Homes – 6 Sold and 12 Pending
Condos – 3 Sold and 4 Pending
Market Metrics – January 1, 2021 – August 31, 2021

Our next BIG capital improvement project is scheduled, as of now, to begin early 2022. This would be the first phase of the Nimmo Parkway extension. The first phase will be from the intersection of Sandpiper and Sandbridge Rd. The road will run parallel to the existing road but will be six feet higher and wide enough to accommodate bike paths. When complete, it will be a straight 2.5 mile road direct to Redmill. I will keep you posted on this project.

Enjoy the Fall!

Aloha,

Pat
