We had great weather for the Holiday weekend, even with a rainy Sunday, it was a nice break from the sun. Friday and Saturday saw record numbers of beach goers in Sandbridge with the first 2 mile back up I have seen trying to get into Little Island Park, in a long time. The Fourth of July boat parade was another huge success; over fifty boats participated with spectators lining up along the canals. It was capped with a firework show that will not be soon forgotten. The photos tell the story! The next big event in Sandbridge is the Annual Pig Picking on September 12th, so do not forget to get your tickets, both local real estate companies have them available at their office. As many of you know, this is the largest fund raiser for the Sandbridge Beach Fire and Rescue squad. They do a fantastic job for the community, and this is a small way to show our support and have a good time with our neighbors and friends.
