Summer 2012 is quickly coming to a close. It’s been a great summer with family and friends visiting from near and far. I think what I will remember the most about this one, is teaching my son, Bane, how to surf. He and his cousins have got the “surfing bug” and it is so much fun to watch! With the end of the season also means the Pig Pickin’ is right around the corner, September 8th. If you need tickets I have them available at my office or just call or email me to reserve them, you can pick them up the day of event.
July and August are seasonally one of the slower periods for real estate sales but still ended up with 5 homes and 2 condos sold (PDF). Inventory consists of 69 homes and 30 condos for sale, which is below average from the last few years. It appears the market has stabilized with, as of this newsletter, no foreclosures and 3 short sales on the market which represents less than 1/2 percent of the inventory.
