Summer in Sandbridge Beach is in full swing, the July 4th celebrations went great with over 40 boats in the parade and another spectacular fireworks show in the Mill Pond. It’s never too early to start thinking about the Annual Pig Picking coming up on September 12th, we have tickets here at the office and I am happy to reserve them for those who plan to attend. It’s always a great time for a worthy cause.
As I always do for the July edition, I have compiled the real estate activity for the first six months of the year and compared them to last year. You can quickly see that all categories are UP for the exception of the median sales price of non-oceanfront homes.
Of note is the large increase in condominium activity. Volume and units sold have doubled compared to last year. This certainly shows that buyers and lenders have their confidence back in this sector of the real estate market. The other increase is in oceanfront property. Sales here consisted of four homes which increased from two last year. The sale of 2948 Sandfiddler for $2,725,000 (highest price for single family home in Sandbridge) certainly shifted all the numbers higher for this segment. Overall we continue to progress in a good real estate market with healthy levels of inventory and lower days on market to receive a contract. If you have any questions regarding this information please contact me via phone or email.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of our summer season and look forward to seeing many of you at the Sandbridge Pig Picking!
Aloha,
Pat
