The objective of the Nimmo Parkway Phase VII-B project is to provide a more reliable and flood resistant roadway for the residents and visitors of the Sandbridge Community. The City of Virginia Beach has identified the Nimmo Parkway corridor, formerly known as Ferrell Parkway, or False Cape Parkway, as a need since 1968.
Implementing transportation improvements to the Nimmo Parkway Corridor will provide a continuous connection from the southern reaches of Virginia Beach to Interstate 64.
