Here’s your chance to find out more about the Nimmo Parkway VII-B transportation project.
A public hearing will be held Wednesday, June 08 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Three Oaks Elementary School. This public hearing will provide information regarding the proposed Nimmo Parkway Phase VII-B project and an opportunity for any person to provide the City comments and/or suggestions on the preliminary design and environmental review. The Draft Environmental Assessment prepared for this project evaluated a No Build and Build Alternative.
The objective of the Nimmo Parkway Phase VII-B project is to provide a more reliable and flood resistant roadway as an alternate to Sandbridge Road. The City has a detailed website about the project at www.nimmoparkway7b.com.
This public hearing allows the City staff and the City’s consultant an opportunity to discuss the project specifics with the public and to obtain comments on the proposed improvements. The City will consider your questions, concerns, and input during the project development process.
Representatives from the City of Virginia Beach and the design consultants are present to discuss design features, potential impacts and respond to your questions. Comment sheets are available and your input is encouraged. All oral and written comments received will be included in the project record for review by the City and interested parties.
