The City of Virginia Beach recently released it’s summer 2010 revenue numbers and Sandbridge Beach was up 11.6%, which contributed to an overall increase for the city of 9.6% of taxable lodging sales compared to 2009. This comes as little surprise to residents and visitors of the island as more people discover our little seaside community. I was talking with a longtime local the other day and we both agreed, even with this increase, Sandbridge Beach in noway feels like it’s become too busy. I will be publishing the residential and condo sales statistics for 2010 in my next blog entry and newsletter.
